Design Brief:
Create a distinctive and eco-friendly logo for Earthen Elephant Toys & Crafts, seamlessly integrating the charm of an elephant face with a green leaf. The design should convey joy, creativity, and environmental consciousness.

In the initial brainstorming phase of this logo design project, I immersed myself in a diverse array of elephant images, recognizing the pivotal role of the first animal name we all learn in childhood. This fundamental understanding served as a guiding force, facilitating the translation of a vision into reality. Furthermore, the primary challenge was to distill the essential shape of the elephant’s face and convey it through minimalism, enabling the design to speak for itself. An exploration of the world of crafts and toys associated with childhood memories played a vital role in inspiring and shaping the creative process. Consequently, this thorough exploration laid the necessary foundation for crafting a design that elegantly captures the timeless essence of childhood.
The process of crafting this logo initiates with the letter ‘n,’ sourced from the Poppins font family, serving as the foundational element. Subsequently, a distinctive touch is introduced by replacing the conventional elephant ear with a carefully designed leaf shape. This deliberate choice adds a subtle, yet impactful, hint of sustainability and eco-friendliness to the logo, visible at the first glance.
I’ve strategically chosen the Swiss721 BT font, and to enhance its friendliness and connection to nature, I’ve implemented changes. Specifically, I’ve rounded the corners and introduced subtle curvature to characters like ‘a’ and ‘e.’ These adjustments not only impart a welcoming feel but also align with nature-inspired elements, creating a graceful resemblance to leaves.
In this creative process of logo design, I seamlessly integrated logo marks and text elements, carefully employing a margin equivalent to the diameter of the elephant’s eye. This ensures that each component has ample space, preventing overcrowding and allowing intricate details related to the logo’s design to stand out prominently.
To establish the color combination, I meticulously researched a myriad of nature and Earth photos. After that, I chose this image. From this image, dark brown color was selected for the elephant face to symbolize land, and green color from the leaf was chosen to give an eco-friendly feeling.
This insight provides a clear understanding of how the logo maintains visual appeal while adapting to various sizes as needed. To ensure optimal visibility and impact for the logo design, a comprehensive check was conducted across different sizes, affirming a consistent and impactful presentation.
